Certificate Ceremony of the Directorate for EU Affairs 2025 Young Translators Contest

YOUNG TRANSLATORS ARE IN ANKARA FOR THEIR AWARD CEREMONY

The thirteenth Young Translators Contest was held on 1 March 2025 by the Directorate for EU Affairs in Istanbul. Successful contestants will be awarded their certificates in a ceremony to be organized at our Directorate on 28 May 2025, at 2:00 p.m. The contest aims to increase awareness regarding the European Union (EU) accession process and contribute to the training of translators in this field.

A total of 142 students from 44 universities took part in the Contest and translated an EU text into Turkish from English, French and German.

The first place winners will participate in a study visit to the EU institutions in Brussels, Belgium. The second and third place winners will attend the “Basic Training Course on the European Union” held by the Ankara University, European Union Research and Application Center (ATAUM).
